Finance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Financial indicators of business activities

  • Manage financial indicators of revenue, gross profit, opex, capex, EBT and other financial indicators (such as inventory, clearance,…) to ensure achievement of targets according to the approved budget of IPPG

2. Management report

  • Continuously improve the management reporting system to ensure professionalism from content to form, including master data files about all financial ratios from detailed to aggregated
  • Information is provided accurately and clearly, ensuring professional presentation
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

3. Budget and reforecast

  • Implement and deploy the company's annual budget in a detailed and clear manner
  • Every quarter, coordinates with GBDs and budget owners to update actual business results and reforecast the business plan

4. Cash flow management and Capital mobilization projects

  • Monitor, manage and control the company’s cash flow to prevent any disruptions. Plan and execute effective strategies to optimize the company's financial liquidity
  • Implement and deploy under BOD's direction capital mobilization projects including work related to capital mobilization activities such as bank loan,...
  • Build relationship with banks/financial institutions on related tasks (if any)

5. Projects & Investments

  • Deploying the new Financial Model with high efficiency, making the implementation of new projects fast, accurate, detailed with customization
  • DMonitor and ensure that projects, partnerships and investments are duly approved, executed and compliant with financial policies and commercial guidelines
  • Re-evaluating effectiveness after projects go into operation, including advising BOD on decisions to close ineffective stores/brands

6. Purchasing and commercial activities

  • Optimal purchasing budgets (OTB) based on set sale forecast plan, along with inventory control, % Sell through (%ST), %Gross Margin (%GM), %Markdown (%MD)...
  • Ensure retail price and %GM
  • Ensure the pricing strategy closely follows the market at each time and has appropriate adjustments at each time according to the market situation
  • Control %GM when actual goods received compared to at estimated time
  • Control landed cost structure when goods are actually imported or make adjustments to ensure the %GM (if any)
  • Approve promotion programs to optimize sales activities as well as other financial indicators of the brand such as inventory, clearance,... Double-check the detailed conditions of the promotion program to avoid errors/risks before event takes place

7. Other requirements as directed by HOD

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CMA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA,…) preferred
  • 10-12 years of experience; with 3-5 years at the same level/role
  • Having experience in Retail/FMCG is preferred
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret financial data and offer strategic recommendations
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications; other skills like Power Query, and Power BI are preferred
