Limited edition celebrates the literary legacy of the creator of Dracula whose imagination shaped one of literature’s most enduring myths .

Montblanc continues its Writers Edition series with the launch of the Writers Edition Homage to Bram Stoker, dedicated to the visionary Irish author whose 1897 novel Dracula gave definitive form to the vampire myth and left an indelible mark on both literature and popular culture. Through this collection, Montblanc celebrates not only the literary legacy of Bram Stoker, but also the enduring power of writing as a means of expression, imagination and cultural connection, transforming one of literature’s most iconic narratives into a series of timeless writing instrument

A pioneer of the horror genre, Bram Stoker (1847-1912) masterfully wove together ancient folklore and the scientific curiosity of his time, creating a narrative where the supernatural and rational coexist. This tension between darkness and discovery forms the creative foundation of the collection, inspiring a design language that captures both the haunting atmosphere of Dracula and the spirit of scientific discovery that defined the late Victorian era.

A Design Language Shaped by Myth and Science

The collection also reflects Stoker’s fascination with scientific progress. The silhouette of the writing instruments, as well as their cone and cap, draw inspiration from the Pravaz syringe, an important medical innovation of the 19th century, as well as a reference to the novel’s theme of blood transfusion as a rational response to the supernatural. In addition to being inspired by details from his literary masterpiece Dracula, they also include details from Bram Stoker’s personal life.

Across the collection, Montblanc translates key elements of Stoker’s narrative into form, material and detail. The interplay of deep red and black evokes the novel’s most dramatic moments, symbolising the fusion of blood and poison after a vampire’s bite, while subtle engravings and sculptural elements echo the psychological tension that defines the story.
