Montblanc Marks a Century of Leather Goods at New York Fashion Week

New York, September 8th, 2026 —Montblanc celebrated 100 Years of Leather Goods at New York Fashion Week by hosting an exclusive event at Crane Club. Joined by the likes of Paul Anthony Kelly, Jamie Campbell Bower, Alexandra Daddario, and brand ambassadors Rupert Friend, Seo Kangjun, Mew Suppasit, Kerem Bürsin and Alfonso Herrera, the Maison turned the Art Deco-style venue into a playful extension of its colourful creative universe. Set to an electric soundtrack by Grammy Award-winning artist Honey Dijon, guests stepped into a multi-sensory journey where Montblanc’s rich leather heritage unfolded at every turn.

At the heart of the experience, guests were able to personalise a selection of Montblanc’s small leather goods at the Montblanc Desk, designed by the Maison’s Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta. Nearby, a dedicated postcard station invited attendees to pause, put pen to paper, and mail a handwritten memory of the special evening.

Montblanc’s rich leather heritage traces back to 1926, born during a transformative era of global mobility. As writing instruments migrated from stationary desks to the pockets of ambitious travelers crossing lands and seas, the Maison introduced its first-ever leather goods: pen pouches designed to protect writing instruments while on the move. Today, this DNA of sophisticated functionality continues to thrive under the artistic direction of Marco Tomasetta, who has further strengthened the enduring connection between the Maison’s writing culture and leather design since his arrival in 2021.
