Curvex CX Silhouette features an asymmetrical case merging symbolic artistry with refined mechanical craftsmanship

Inspired by the silky flow of a natural current shaped by time, the Curvex CX Silhouette features an asymmetrical case merging symbolic artistry with refined mechanical craftsmanship. Every line reveals a masterful fluidity, where nature becomes an aesthetic signature, both pure and profoundly refined.

The Curvex CX Silhouette transcends the classic barrel-shaped dial, as if the invisible force of the elements had sculpted every line. Wind, water and time seem to have shaped its asymmetrical case, transforming traditional rigour into a poetry of organic, fluid forms. The case hugs the wrist with perfect harmony, combining presence, elegance and subtlety. Thanks to Franck Muller’s exceptional craftsmanship, the Curvex CX Silhouette captures the raw power and delicacy of nature, turning time into a language of beauty, fluidity and mastery.

The Curvex CX Silhouette is housed in the latest evolution of Franck Muller’s iconic tonneau shape, known for its flowing, harmonious curves that create a bold and elegant silhouette. The distinctive 2 design of the Curvex CX represents the brand’s identity, now further defined by fluid contours that deliver a seamless visual appeal on this extension. The case also features an inner bezel, hand-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, and an edge-to-edge sapphire crystal, adding a unique and refined touch to its contemporary aesthetic.

Radiating an ummistakable refined elegance, the Curvex CX Silhouette is crafted from a solid block of 18K rose gold or a versatile and understated stainless steel. Instead of the traditional spring-bar technique, the strap is seamlessly integrated into the case using two unseen screws, creating a smooth transition between the strap and the case. This thoughtful combination of finishes and craftsmanship ensures it is as comfortable to wear as it is captivating to behold.

Entirely set by hand with 313 brilliant-cut diamonds (2.04 carats), the case and bezel give an exceptional sparkle to this timepiece. The amount of time and craftmanship necessary for the setting of each individual diamond on this asymmetrical case is remarkable and requires a level of mastery achieved after only years of apprenticeship and cultivating of the craft.

To create the lines and diamond-set channels on the dial of the Curvex CX Silhouette, a precise machining process is used on the brass dial base, removing material around these lines so they appear raised. The dial is then painted in matte black, followed by 25 layers of lacquer, each requiring approximately one hour of drying time.

A finishing step known as adouçissage or “softening” is then carried out to smoothen and refine these lines. The lines created for diamond setting are then hand-set with brilliant-cut diamonds. They are carefully hand-polished before undergoing a galvanisation treatment to achieve their final appearance
