Burberry unveiled its new campaign Night Creatures – celebrating the power of curiosity and
exploration of the unknown.

5 OCTOBER 2022

Today, Burberry unveiled its new campaign Night Creatures – celebrating the power of curiosity and exploration of the unknown.

Exploration has been synonymous with the Burberry story from the very beginning with the brand’s founder Thomas Burberry creating outerwear that combined creativity and curiosity. Through doing so, he enabled some of the most prolific adventurers of the time to move past the perils of uncertainty and adventure toward the unimaginable. Today, Burberry continues to strive forward with the same mindset, creating outerwear pieces that empower the wearer to go beyond the unknown and embark upon unique and exciting adventures.

For the campaign film, Burberry collaborated with MEGAFORCE to bring the story to life. The film shows a trio of Burberry explorers tentatively approaching an undiscovered creature. Shortly after, the cast is swept up by the creature in the spirit of adventure. Entangled together, the creature and cast spin and dance.

Connecting with one another to move as one. Relishing the joy and opportunity found in fearlessly embracing the unknown, they embody the bold and courageous spirit that unites adventurers. As the film draws to a close, the ensemble floats atop the waters of the River Thames and journeys into the night. Embracing their next adventure, and what it holds, together. The still imagery, shot by George Eyers, continues to celebrate exploration in the city. The dynamic images feature the individuals in the film, shot from different perspectives surrounded by London landscapes.

The Burberry outerwear collection features technical pieces designed to navigate a variety of adventures from outdoor discovery to explorations in the city. Burberry Night Check – the latest iteration of Burberry’s signature pattern – nods to the brand’s love of the natural world by mirroring the night sky with bright white stars nestled in a blanket of dark charcoal blue. The seasonal colourway animates puffer jackets and tactile fleeces, as well as shirts and knitwear. Lightweight technical styles include colour-block nylon jackets in
contrasting tones of optic white and dark charcoal blue, as well as an oversized parka highlighted with Horseferry print. The iconic trench coat is refreshed in bespoke gabardine and cut to the signature Kensington fit. House Check is also reinterpreted as a three-dimensional pattern on quilted outerwear styles
from a lightweight bomber jacket to puffer coats.

For as much as the unknown can stir uncertainty, it is only by embracing it, that the best adventures can ensue.

WOMENSWEAR

Nylon jackets and gilets are equipped with removable hoods featuring foldover peaks and embroidered Burberry logos, plus integrated snow skirts to keep in
the warmth. A puffer coat in high-shine nylon is cut to a fitted silhouette and cinched by a webbed belt with polished buckle – a nod to the hardware on Burberry signature bags.

Reflecting the colours in the night sky, the new Burberry Night Check animates puffer jackets and tactile fleece in an Italian-woven wool cashmere blend. The mesh-lined design features a drawcord hood and is cut to a relaxed fit, perfect for layering. Burberry Night Check also adorns accessories such as a fringed scarf in Scottishwoven cashmere. The fabric is washed in local spring water and carefully brushed with teasels for a soft finish.

The collection includes Exaggerated Check – a supersized take on Burberry’s signature pattern. A lightweight jacket highlighted with quilting designed to resemble the signature Burberry pattern and styled with a matching mini skirt in Italian-woven nylon. Exaggerated Check carries over to high-waisted leggings cut from Italian-woven stretch jersey, teamed with a form-fitting turtleneck top in Italian-woven stretch
jersey.

Classic womenswear pieces include a pencil skirt tailored from Italian-woven technical wool. The darted silhouette is designed to sit at the waist and is fully lined for a smooth fit. For evening, a sleeveless gown in fluid silk satin, styled with a draped open back and exaggerated side splits for added movement.

MENSWEAR

Burberry Night Check reinvents the signature Burberry pattern in a new seasonal colourway, featuring on a puffer jacket generously filled with goose down and feathers. The design is styled with a detachable hood and drawcord waist to cinch the silhouette.

Colour-block styles include a two-tone puffer jacket in optic white and black Italian-woven nylon, cut to an oversized fit and detailed with an outlined logo at the hem. The hooded design features detachable, adjustable interior straps so it can be carried on the back. Functional outer layers include a lightweight jacket in contrasting tones, styled with concealed closures, a packaway drawcord hood and tonal logo appliqué. A protective funnel-neck parka cut to an oversized fit, highlighted with the Horseferry print. Logo-tagged cargo trousers featuring drawcord waists, patch pockets and zipped cuffs are designed for ease when layering over boots.

Burberry’s classic trench silhouettes are refreshed with modern proportions. The archive-inspired style is crafted in bespoke gabardine developed for its creaseresistant structure and woven at the Burberry Mill in Yorkshire. A dark charcoal blue car coat is reimagined in an Italian-woven wool blend and tailored to a relaxed fit.

Sharp tailoring includes straight-leg trousers in Italianwoven wool twill. The high-waisted design is styled with sharp pleats and adorned with an embroidered logo. A tailored suit shaped for a classic fit with a defined, rolled shoulder and straight, regular-rise trousers.

Classic pieces include sweatshirts embroidered with an oak leaf crest and logo. Knitwear includes a funnel-neck sweater in soft Scottish-woven cashmere, embroidered with a tonal Thomas Burberry Monogram at the rib-knit hem.
