WITH A SCENTED CLOUD FLOATING IN PARIS, CARTIER TRANSFORMED PERFUME INTO A WORK OF ART

Cartier celebrated OSNI 1 Le Nuage Parfumé, First of a yearly serie of immersive olfactive experience imagined by Mathilde Laurent, Perfumer of the Maison Cartier.

During the FIAC week in Paris, in October 19th, Cartier celebrated its first of a yearly serie of immersive olfactive experience imagined by Mathilde Laurent called OSNI 1. The concept of OSNI is based on unprecedented meetings between olfaction & another artistic or scientific discipline.

It transposes with audacity the Maison’s creative and iconoclastic style into perfume.

For this first edition, Mathilde Laurent collaborated with Transsolar an engineering company specialized in climatology who previously worked with Renzo Piano, Jean Nouvel, Frank Gehry and on the Cloudscapes installation at Venice Biennale & Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art…The technical feat of this installation was to stabilize a cloud in the open air (unprotected from wind and variation in temperature in over a such long period of time) and to create a cloud with an almost odorless texture that can work with l’Envol de Cartier perfume.

After the opening of the H igh Jewelry exhibition to public in NY last week, this new event reinforces Cartier’s spirit of sharing giving public the opportunity to approach differently the world of perfumes between October 20 th & 23 rd (registration details: www.osni.cartier.com).
